reflects J.C.'s lifelong passion for wildlife and art. From an early age, she
has roamed the outdoors getting to know wild animals and their ways. Her
constant companions were her drawing pads, pens, and journals. Her writing
flowed naturally as she sought to share her experiences. Her artistic
style emerged through observation of nature and her inspiration by a variety of
great artists, animators, and naturalists including Robert Bateman, Rien
Poortvliet, Walt Disney, Winslow Homer, Auguste Renoir, Charles Russell, and
William D. Berry.
J.C.'s
wildlife paintings won "Best in Show" at the Mohave County Fair in 1995 and
2002. Both paintings reflect the natural beauty of the Kingman Area
and her love of this region. J.C. is very appreciative of family and
friends who have supported her on her artistic and literary journey.
